Product Trend: Chalkboard!

Hello!

I am back this month to show you 2 layouts using My Mind's Eye Chalboard papers.

I used the colours in the collection to create my own background, mint and black, even though you might think they are boys colours I think they work well with my little girl's funny face!
"Clown"

I used the gorgeous Dusty Attic Buttons with Linday's Stamp Gang embossing powders!
I just love that gorgeous grungy effect I created!

My next layout is actually the "Chalkboard" background with vibrant pinks and white. I just thought I would give it my own personal touches!

"Girly Girl"

I used a Kaisercraft Butterfly cut out of their gorgeous collection and added Lindy's Stamp Gang mist, gesso and paint splatters, as well as some chipboard and a cute word!

Here I used some cog chipboard negatives with black gesso and paint!
I just love the contrast between those 2 colours! And I have loads of layers of stamping, masking as well!

Another close up of my painty artsy mess! Yum!

So that's it for me today I really hope that you have a play with our chalkboard products! You can recreate a chalkboard look with black gesso on chipboard too, it is real fun!

Here are the SO products used in both layouts:

February White With A Twist Challenge!

Hello!

It is February and time to reveal our White With a Twist Challenge!

So the challenge is:

Create a layout inspired by ALL the colours in this photo and you MUST use at least one piece of chipboard.

You must use WHITE combined with the colours above. You can use printed paper as long as these colours are the main focus of the paper. There can be other colours on the printed paper, but not too much to take away from the colours in the inspiration picture.

You can use anything to create these colours like mists, inks or paints.

You can use a small amount of black/brown just for a little stamping, inking, journaling or just as a small accessory, however it is NOT to be the main focus of your layout.

You can use as little or a lot of each colour, but every colour or shade of that colour in the picture MUST be used. You can use varied shades of the colours - it depends on the inspiration that you get from the picture.

Rules:

Create a layout following the above criteria

After you have created a LO for the challenge please upload it to your blog, online gallery or Facebook page -  make sure you mention us and link back to our blog challenge.  Then add your challenge link to us using the correct Mister Linky on the right hand side of our BLOG.

Once you have done that just pop over to the SO FaceBook page and let us know you have entered our challenge - you can then link back to your own blog or FB page as well so we can all go and check out your creation.

Out of courtesy, please link your challenge entries back to the Scrapping Outback BLOG challenge or be sure to give credit to the Scrapping Outback challenge and if there is a sketch to follow please give credit to the sketch artist as well.

Please use your creation for our challenge only - it is not to be used in other challenges.

If you are winner be sure to grab your Challenge Winners Blinkie to add to your blog.

Thank you.
